Bei einer Suche am Traunsee fanden wir unerwartet in ca. 70 m Tiefe das Wrack einer Zille. Es dürfte sich dabei um ein mehrere hundert Jahre altes Wrack handeln.

Es ist fast zur Gänze im Sediment eingebettet, was nur nach sehr langer Zeit im Wasser möglich ist.

During one of our expeditions on the lake Traun, we discovered unexpectedly a wreck of a Zille. This is a certain type of boat that was used to transport salt from the mines to markets all over Europe.

Due to its state of being almost completely submerged under silt, we estimate its age at a couple of hundered years.
